There is a way to remove it from your game. You can simply delete the .minecraft/mods/neatmod directory in your .minecraft folder and run the game once again! However, this will reset all of the neat mod’s settings and configs, so you will have to go through the whole process of setting it up again.

Make sure you have downloaded the correct version for your Minecraft version.
How do I install Neat Mod on a server?

This is most likely because of a recent change in the way Minecraft handles mods and servers. You can either wait until this issue gets fixed or follow these instructions:
