Backpacks Mod: More Than Just a Way to Carry Your Chest On Your Back
The Backpacks mod is a pretty simple one but it does have some hidden features that make it really unique. One of the most interesting ones in my opinion is the ability to move items and equipment between your Backpack and any other chest or container you right-click while sneaking.
This means, if you were looking for wool from a sheep, you could sneak up on one with your Backpack open and grab what you needed without ever having to risk detection by getting too close! The Backpacks mod also has an inventory window with 30 more slots of storage space which makes it easier to carry all those extra items around too!
How to install?
- All you do is to download the Minecraft Forge and install it first.
- Now you need to download Optifine, the download links are below of this text.
- Move the downloaded .jar into the mods folder.
- That was it!

If you hold down the sneak key, SHIFT by default, you can actually move items and equipment between your bag and any other chest or container you right-click while sneaking. That’s why the Backpacks mod is so nice. While it does technically give the player another inventory window with 30 more slots of storage space to use, at least this mod makes players look like they’re carrying around bags loaded with stuff rather than just pulling it out of thin air.
One of the best mods for Minecraft is Backpacks. It’s just so useful, with an inventory that can be expanded up twofold! Who wouldn’t want to carry twice as much stuff in their game?
The benefits are practical too – players get all this new space on top of what they have already while still being able to wear a backpack like it was part of themself (because let’s face it… no one wants something popping out at any moment). Plus there haven’t been many bugs or errors yet either making playing through these bigger backpacks easier than ever before possible.
