Armor can be enchanted to increase its rarity and strength.

Armor cannot be damaged by falling or getting hit by a creeper or other mobs.

All armor has the same stats as iron armor: 3 hearts of damage, 4% chance of critical, 1/2 movement speed, and 0.5 chance of not taking fall damage when landing from a jump.

Armor can be dyed using an anvil or enchantment table in the crafting menu, but it will not have any changes in appearance until it is placed on a player’s back. This does not affect the enchantments applied to it at the time of crafting. Armor that has been dyed will retain its previous color when placed on a player’s back again, so you can use this feature to get past color restrictions for your skin or eyes without having to craft another set of armor! You can also use this feature to easily change the color or pattern of your armor using a crafting table, anvil, or enchantment table.

Armor is placed on the ground when worn by a player. If you want to place armor on something else, you can use a crafting table or anvil to enchant it before placing it on the ground.

FAQ

Q: Is there a way to remove the armor from a block without breaking it?

A: Yes, you can remove the armor from the block by using an anvil or enchantment table.

Q: I can’t place armor on a block. What is wrong?

A: Armor must be placed on the ground or worn by a player in order for it to work. Seeing as how armor does not exist in Minecraft, this is how its mechanics should work.

Q: How do I know if my armor has been enchanted? A: When you enchant a piece of armor, you will see your current enchantment level (or 0 if the item is unenchanted). You can also open your inventory and type /enchantment in order to see information about your current enchantment level.
